Blessings and prayer answered
The last few days have really flown by. I need to do a better job of keeping track, because looking back is a blur.
The repairs for Heather’s Explorer aren’t covered under warranty. Bummer. But it’s ok.
Breakfast with a professor friend. Key there is that we are beginning to become friends. Friends are blessings.
About to figure out what to do about the vehicle fleet situation. It’s nice to be able to take a breath .. and to be ok with not being able to control everything. That’s a blessing too. And an answer to prayer.
Sadie has gone to Fort Worth and back. She visited my mom and a few friends she met doing childcare at Cru25. We’re glad for her to go and we’re glad when she gets back. Every time.
Will has gone back to AR. He took my car. I am glad he could do that, even though I liked that car and it will need to be replaced. That’s ok too.
Macie’s basketball season is in full swing. Leaving early for practice and late getting home from games. I might (with the help of one of her friends) be 1/3rd of the way to having her convinced to show a lamb next season.
Ben and Heather have been to Tyler and back to secure a grant to help pay for his school. I think he just needed to sign some paperwork.
I’ve been able to work a good bit on our 2026 spending plan. I think it pretty closely reflects our priorities.
Planning/prepping for the new semester is about done.
A neat thing happened. I woke up early the other morning and got to thinking about starting a new Bible reading plan. Since I recently finished reading all the way through, I needed a new focus. So I prayed for clarity. Immediately, I knew what I wanted to do: focus on 2 Peter and John. Really deep dive into both of these books. It’s makes sense because we’re goin through John at church and my Monday night Bible Study just started 2 Peter. It’s simple, but I really believe that was an answer to prayer.
