Maybe it’s the sense of new beginnings. School starting. New opportunities. New plans. New goals.
Maybe it’s the wonderful time when summer is still here and fall is just around the corner, with cooler, crisp weather ahead. Perhaps we’ll pause on Sept the 22nd to celebrate the official beginning of fall.
Again, this fall will be full. Launching Faculty Commons in South Texas. Football season for Trey, who just learned that he will be one of the running backs on his 7th grade A team, and Macie, who is learning how to be a freshman and an athletic trainer. And stock show season for Rece, his first year showing a lamb. Huge learning curve for all of us.
And maybe it’s just the blessing of Base Camp, where all of this is possible. Where we are known and loved. Where we learn and grow. Where we take steps of faith. Where we it’s ok to fail, because we are full try.
Whatever it is, I love this time of year.
