Sitting by a fire

Somethings are just right. A good fitting pair of boots. A fly drifting high and dry through the slot without drag or dimple. Steak. Grilled. Black pepper and a little bit of salt. Home grown. And sitting outside by a fire just before daylight. It's hard to beat that. Maybe add a cup of coffee. A dog. A friend. And it's good to add a devotional with emerging leaders at a Destino Fall Retreat.

Daisy came to us as a breath of fresh air, as most puppies do. We were not in the market for a puppy. At all. It was late December when Heather met Daisy and texted me, "Need another heeler pup?"
