Bright skies
“Dear Lord- Today is a great day. The present is bright, and the past is bright, and the future is bright.
Of course, all the credit is yours.
Apart from you, there is nothing.
I’m thinking about this: what good is it for one to gain the whole world and yet lose one’s soul? It’s awful. The worst thing imaginable…”
I’m grateful to be able to start my daily journal that way.
What God has done for me … I just can’t express, other than to say that I am overwhelmed and amazed.
When things are hard, God is here.
And we’ve had some hard days. But I’m realizing that even so, even in the middle of difficulty, I am aware of God’s kindness. I know that’s the grace of a gracious God.
It means everything to me.
